The Discipling for Development Residency

January 3, 2018 - June 20th, 2018 - Atlanta, GA

Our desire is to see communities become all that God intends for them to be in all areas of life. As such, our hope is that future generations will embrace this vision and be equipped to carry it out.

Therefore, we are excited to launch a new, Atlanta-based internship program called The Discipling for Development Residency. Participants will be living and working together in an interactive learning environment centered on the principles of whole-life discipleship.

We wanted to share this exciting opportunity with you so that you know what else we have been up to, how you can be praying for us, and how you can help make this a success. Visit the Residency Website!

What is the Residency and who is it for?

The residency is for young adults, ages 22-30, who have a passion for social justice, poverty alleviation, and biblical community transformation. For six months, they will live in Atlanta with a cohort with whom they will engage in thought-provoking curriculum and experiences centered on a whole-life approach to discipleship.

This program could be a great fit for graduating college seniors, graduate students, or young professionals in job transition.

What are the key components of the Residency?

Curriculum: Learn paradigm shifting principles applicable in every area of life by discussing books and engaging in workshops led by D4D mentors.

Field Placements: Work directly with and alongside vulnerable populations by volunteering with an urban ministry partner.

Field Exposure: Cultivate a biblical understanding of and concern for the vulnerable by visiting and learning from a variety of urban ministries.

Mentoring: Develop as a leader by engaging with and receiving coaching from experienced mentors

How You Can Help...

1. Pray, Pray, Pray! There is still a lot of work to be done in setting this up, and we need as much prayer as possible!

2. Share and recruit for us! Let us know if you or anyone else you know would be interested in the program. The application deadline is September 22, 2017. We are looking for 6 Residents for our first cohort.
